PRACTICAL SKILLS TRAINING

PART 1, Module 2:  Practical Skills Week*
Date:  TBC
Location:  Cambridge
In Part 1, students on the Beginners Pathway will attend a 5 day Practical Skills Week** at the Moller Institute, Churchill College, University of Cambridge, covering:

- Patient assessment
- CBCT analysis
- Digital implant planning
- Implant placement
- Raising flaps
- Impression taking
- Gowning & gloving
- Suturing
- Occlusal analysis

PART 2:  Advanced Practical Skills Week**
Date:  TBC
Location:  Cambridge
In the second year, UK and Europe students will attend a 5 day Advanced Practical Skills Week* at the Moller Institute, Churchill College,University of Cambridge, covering:

- Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR)
- Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) in dentistry
- Sinus augmentation surgery
- Piezosurgery
- CBCT intepretation & reporting (Level 2)
 
* Students on the Experienced Practitioners Pathway are exempt from the Part 1 Practical Skills Week
** For those students who reside outside of the UK or Europe, only the last day (Friday) of the Advanced Practical Skills Week in Part 2 is mandatory to attend.  These students may attend the mandatory Friday session via an online link.  UK and Europe students are expected to attend the full week.
